From beginning to end, everything is renewed. On this occasion of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, on behalf of China National Building Materials Group and all cadres and employees, I would like to extend the best New Year greetings to brother enterprises and colleagues in the building materials industry, and to friends from all walks of life who have always cared about and supported the development of the group!

This year, China Building Materials Group adhered to high-quality development, focused on promoting supply side structural reform, used "world-class" as the leading direction, used innovation and transformation to enhance the driving force, used the "the Belt and Road" to expand the market, used strengthening party building to provide political guarantee, united, forge ahead, achieved excellent results in all work, and created the best business performance in history. Seven business projects ranked first in the world and five in China, with a batch of new materials achieving industrial mass production. Jushi Group and Bengbu Institute's key technology and complete equipment projects for ultra-thin touch glass have both won the China Industrial Award. The group has taken solid steps in the process of high-quality development.

This year, breakthrough progress has been made in the restructuring of two materials, and the "three-step" strategy for restructuring and integration has been successfully implemented. The "small two material merger" has been successfully completed, and the synergy and enterprise vitality have been continuously enhanced. The group is fully promoting supply side structural reform, continuously optimizing and upgrading its cement business, rapidly developing its new materials business, and achieving remarkable results in its engineering service business. The group has developed into a comprehensive building materials and new materials industry investment group with a tripartite balance of cement, new materials, and engineering technology services.

This year, the group was listed as a new batch of pilot state-owned capital investment companies by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and three enterprises were listed as the "Double Hundred Actions" of state-owned enterprise reform by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. All reform pilot work was solidly carried out. The group adheres to deepening reforms, innovating to solve difficult problems, and stands at the forefront in the process of deepening reforms in state-owned enterprises.

This year, the group has deeply promoted the "three refinements" management of "organizational refinement", "management refinement", and "lean operation", continued to implement a set of effective business management models such as the "eight construction methods", "six star enterprises", and "increased efficiency and reduced efficiency work methods". The development foundation has been continuously consolidated, and the operation of the enterprise has been continuously healthy. The group has taken new steps in strengthening and optimizing.

This year, the group has strengthened technological innovation and achieved a number of key core technologies and important achievements. Keep in mind the mission of central enterprises, promote the implementation of the "the Belt and Road" initiative with advanced technology, advantageous production capacity and high-quality building materials, increase cooperation between central enterprises and intra group collaboration, actively promote international production capacity cooperation, and steadily advance the layout of overseas investment, becoming a new national card of China's industry "going global".

This year, the party building work of the group has been comprehensively strengthened. The first Party member representative conference of the group was successfully held, and the first Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Committee were elected. We must firmly adhere to the principle of "two unifications" and unify the leadership of the Party with the improvement of corporate governance structure. Adhering to the concept of "one ledger" for party building and management, combining party building work with governance management, production and operation, corporate culture, and clean employment, the quality of party building has significantly improved, effectively leading the development of enterprises and safeguarding them.     

2018 was an extraordinary year. This year has seen both socio-economic progress and the pains of transformation, and our biggest gain has been the experience of the market, which has led us closer to maturity.

Under the leadership of Comrade Xi Jin Ping as the core of the Party Central Committee, 2019 will definitely be a more prosperous and beautiful year. China Building Materials Group will make concerted efforts to take new steps in reform and innovation, in integration and optimization, in "three refined" management, in "the the Belt and Road", in party building, and in building a world-class building materials enterprise with global competitiveness!

The new year is full of hope. We will face the new year with an open, integrated, and shared mindset, resolve international trade frictions with open marketization, promote the international community to adapt to the reality of China's peaceful development, and create an inclusive and open international environment. We will strengthen the cooperation between state-owned enterprises and private enterprises with the mindset of national progress, especially fully support and serve the development of private enterprises, and create a domestic environment of integration and win-win. We need to vigorously carry out the construction of internal mechanisms in enterprises, advocate for a shared distribution mechanism among owners, operators, and workers, make enterprises full of vitality, and enable everyone to achieve equal and common prosperity through honest labor. Believe in ourselves and believe in the future, we are willing to work with industry colleagues to deepen the supply side structural reform of the building materials industry, write a new chapter in the scientific, healthy and sustainable development of the building materials industry, and make new and greater contributions to celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation!
